In August 2021, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 10.521 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 6.078 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 4.443 billion US dollars. In comparison to August 2020, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 36.05%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 32.16% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 41.59%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.612 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.46 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 1.152 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.094 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.027 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.067 billion US dollars).
