In August 2024, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 11.305 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 7.255 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 4.051 billion US dollars. In comparison to August 2023, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 10.24%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 5.59% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 19.69%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.638billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.766 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 0.872billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.876 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.698 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.178billion US dollars).
