In January 2022, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 10.844 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 6.793 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 4.051 billion US dollars. In comparison to January 2021, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 20.11%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 22.73% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 15.96%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.627 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.561 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 1.066 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.282 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.309 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 0.973 billion US dollars).
