In January 2023, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries was 8.595 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 4.983 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 3.612 billion US dollars. In comparison to January 2022, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has decreased by 20.83 %, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 26.76% decrease and Taiwan’s imports from ASEAN countries decreased by 10.86%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 2.671 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 1.684 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s imports from Singapore were 0.987 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.285 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.069 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s imports from Malaysia were 0.883 billion US dollars).
