In May 2022, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 11.987 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 7.336 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 4.651 billion US dollars. In comparison to May 2021, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 22.03%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 23.97% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 19.09%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.554 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.486 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 1.068 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.806 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.639 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.167 billion US dollars).
