In May 2024, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 10.643 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 6.465 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 4.178 billion US dollars. In comparison to May 2023, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 10.65%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 6.35% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 18.02%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.123 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.330 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 0.792 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.950 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.670 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.280 billion US dollars).
