In September 2023, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 10.63 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 7.467 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 3.163 billion US dollars. In comparison to September 2022, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 7.33%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 24.77% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries decreased by 19.31%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 4.176 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 3.511 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 0.665 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 1.838 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.192 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 0.645 billion US dollars).
